Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TutorPax, a service operated by [legal entity name], [registered address], Belgium, company number [number], VAT [number] ("TutorPax", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
TutorPax lets tutors build, host, and run their own tutoring website: a site builder, hosting on a tutorpax.com subdomain or your own custom domain, Google sign-in for you and your students, contact and review tools, and — on the Pro plan — online courses with video hosting. We provide the platform; the website, its content, and the tutoring services offered through it are yours.
2. Accounts
You sign in with a Google account and must provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must be at least 18 years old to create a tutor account.
3. Plans, trial, and billing
Hosting is a paid subscription: Starter at €19/month or Pro at €49/month (prices include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise at checkout). Every new site starts with a 30-day free trial with full access — no payment details required. When the trial ends without an active subscription, your site is paused: it stays saved, but it is no longer publicly reachable until you subscribe.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the billing portal in your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and we do not refund partial months. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period after the notice.
4. Selling courses to your students
Course payments go directly from your students to you through your own Stripe account (Stripe Connect). You — not TutorPax — are the seller and merchant of record: you set prices, you are responsible for refunds and support to your students, and for any VAT or other taxes on your sales. TutorPax charges no commission on course sales. Stripe's own processing fees and terms apply to your Stripe account.
5. Your content and responsibilities
You keep all rights to the content you put on your site (pages, images, course videos). You grant us the licence needed to host, store, and serve that content to run the service. You are responsible for your content: it must be yours to use, accurate, legal, and appropriate for your audience — which may include minors. Reviews submitted by your students are moderated by you; you may approve or reject them but not edit their text.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use TutorPax to host unlawful, infringing, or misleading content; to upload media you do not have rights to (including pirated course material); to collect data from your visitors beyond what the service provides; to abuse storage or other quotas; to attempt to access other tenants' data; or to impersonate another person or business. We enforce fair-use quotas on storage and traffic to protect all customers.
7. Suspension and termination
You can delete your site or account at any time; this removes your content from the service (backups purge on a rolling schedule). We may suspend or terminate a site that breaches these terms, creates a security or legal risk, or remains unpaid after the trial and any grace period — where reasonable, we will notify you first. We may discontinue the service with at least 60 days' notice, in which case we refund any prepaid, unused period.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available and your site fast, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We continuously improve the service and may add, change, or retire features; we will not materially reduce the core service you pay for without notice.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect damages such as lost profits or lost data beyond our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for intent or gross negligence.
10. Data protection
How we handle personal data — yours and your site visitors' — is described in our Privacy Policy. For personal data your site collects from your students (messages, reviews, newsletter signups, enrollments), you are the controller and TutorPax processes it on your behalf.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes go to the courts of [judicial district], Belgium, unless mandatory consumer law gives you another venue.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance by email or in your dashboard. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
